BERLIN FASHION WEEK

Where to relax, eat, party and - naturally - shop in the German capital

curated by

JULIA KNOLLE, Editorial Lead, Vogue Digital Germany

On its way to becoming one of the European style set's most important gatherings, Berlin Fashion Week kicked off yesterday and runs till July 7. The up-and-coming talent, historic locations, and the parties (of course) all make the twice-per-year event a must-see for fashion gurus from all over Europe and the world!

Some months back, we had the chance to discuss some of the better places to relax, eat, party and - naturally - shop, with our friend Julia Knolle who is Editorial Lead of Vogue Digital Germany. She selected locations from her own neighborhood, Mitte, which are all within walking distance and worth every step!
  • DINING

    LOKAL

"For an overdose of candle light and romantic, paired with impressive, hand bulit wooden tables from local architect Katja Buchholz, I would pop around the corner and have a bite to eat at "Das Lokal." See the website below for more information and the daily menu..." Linienstraße 160
    030-28449500
    LOKAL

  • DINING

    MILCHHALLE

"I am known for my caffeine addiction, so naturally I am more than lucky to have one of the cosiest places for a mug within 12 steps of my door." Auguststrasse 50
    0178 6070007
    MILCHHALLE

  • NIGHTLIFE

    FLAMINGO BERLIN

"The last time I had a drink was at Flamingo- they made me drink a "Pims" and I really enjoyed it! The great crowd there always makes the taste even better though, of course..." Kleine Präsidentenstraße
    Am Monbijoupark
    S-Bahnbögen 157/158
    FLAMINGO BERLIN

  • ART & CULTURE

    JUEDISCHE MAEDCHENSCHULE

"I am more than curious about the result of the newly revamped Jüdische Mädchenschule on Auguststrasse which will be on Feb. 9th. Besides galleries like Camera Work, Michael Fuchs Gallery, and Eigen + Art Lab that will occupy the upper levels, there will be several gastronomic bonmots on the ground floor." Auguststrasse 11-13
    MAEDCHENSCHULE

  • ART & CULTURE

    KUNSTWERK

"I would always recommend a visit to KW Institute for Contemporary Art which is just opposite the Maedchenschule. They tend to surprise with lotteries, pyramids made out of beer boxes or sound installations to fight the smallest danger of art world fatiguee." Auguststraße 69
    030 243459 0
    KUNSTWERK

  • SHOPPING

    QUARTIER 206 CABINET

"For a sufficient money-spending experience make your first stop at my local dealer Departmentstore 206 with my favourite selection of "not to be found everywhere things" in the basement store 'Cabinet.'" Friedrichstrasse 71
    030 2094-6353
    CABINET 206

  • SHOPPING

    ANDREAS MURKUDIS

"Further away but worth every meter is the XXL space of Andreas Murkudis on Potsdamer Strasse which proves that a global mind set can be found in a backyard. Love and rareness are essential qualities of the store that lead to making every visit a special one." Potsdamerstrasse 81E
    030 680798306
