ART & CULTUREZWÖLFERKOGEL
Ski bum? Walk to the Zwölferkogel valley lift station, steps from the Wiesergut, to access 200km of groomed slopes (the World Cup ski championships used to be run here). Or on Thursdays, take a snowshoe trek with local guide Hans Eder from the hotel through the nearby Alpine trails. In the summer, hiking paths lead to the top of the Zwölferkogel peak, which is a lofty 1982 meters high and offers views over the entire Salzburgerland.

DININGWIESERALM
And don’t forget: Martina and Sepp have been running their own mountainside restaurant, Wieseralm, for the past 15 years. On offer here is Austrian fare like Knoedel dumplings of Tafelspitz, as well as international specialties. You can sit on the terrace on a sunny winter day, and after a candlelight dinner, slide down the lit slopes into the valley on a bobsled (open until 10pm). Wiesern 48
