DREAMING IN MAYAN
BRANDING PAPAYA PLAYA
The land ‘south of the border’ is as ripe with papayas on the beach as it is with creative inspiration
Building a beach resort has always been at the top of Claus Sendlinger’s bucket list, so we are proud to see he has made this a reality through Papaya Playa Project- the pop-up resort that opened last year on a simultaneously beautiful and spiritual beach in Tulum, Mexico.
While the feel and experience of the resort has been a longtime vision in Sendlinger’s head, the project’s corporate identity was a custom creation from him with support from the Design Hotels™ Creative Department. The land ‘south of the border’ is as ripe with papayas on the beach as it is with creative inspiration- from cuisine, artisan handicrafts, natural resources, and even the ‘Golden age of Mexican cinema” from the 1940’s through the 1960’s.
The slideshow above paints a picture of the creative and visual journey that was taken in order to design the identity of Papaya Playa Project.
