You've got to be careful when waving your hands around in a foreign city. A friendly thumbs up to say, "Hey, great job!", in one culture, might mean, "Hey, up yours!", in another. And you've got to be particularly careful in Rome, when making the wrong signal to a feisty local might result in being slapped in the face with a salami. To avoid such an incident, our friends at Trunk Magazine have deciphered the sign language of the Italian capital, so you can get along with the locals, without saying anything at all.
