Although the new Tate Modern extension by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron probably won't be finished until 2016, the first phase of the project has just been completed, with the opening this week of Tate Tanks, an art, performance and installation space built into three underground chambers of the former power station. Check out this video in which The Guardian's art critic Adrian Searle gives his first impressions of the cavernous Tanks.
